DESPITE the heat a large number of the Fenland Running Club set personal bests at Sunday’s Great Eastern Run in Peterborough.
Thirty-three members competed in the field of 3,177 and coach Robin Parker crossed the line in 44th place with a time of one hour, 18 minutes and 14 seconds.
Nicole Coughlin was the first lady home in a time of 1:35.18. A remarkable sprint finish saw Sean Connolly pip Ady Martin to line, although their chip times were level at 1:25.25.
