Wisbech Town boss Dick Creasey is still without a win in his fourth spell as manager after the Fenmen threw away a one goal lead in their 3-1 defeat to Northampton Sileby Rangers.
Creasey’s second match in the Wisbech hot seat got off to the perfect start when Billy Smith fired home his 11th goal of the season after just three minutes.
The Fenmen held their lead until the half time break, but things soon turned sour for Wisbech in the second period when the hosts netted an equaliser through Karlos Augustine.
Rangers then took the lead through Brian Farrell’s 70th-minute strike, and the frontman condemned Wisbech to their second United Counties Premier League with a second deep into added time.
Wisbech will have to wait to try and respond to their disappointing defeat, as their next league encounter is a mouth-watering clash with rivals Holbeach United on Tuesday March 19.
