SKATERS from Fenland have put in a strong performance at a national event, with Felix Moore winning a silver medal at his first ever competition.
The competitors from Rollervillage in Walpole Highway, near Wisbech, faced high-class opponents from across the country at the event held in Clacton.
But they put in brave performances against champion skaters with Moore leading the way, winning a silver medal in the newcomers event.
In the novice under-10s Chiara Moore finished 6th with Chantel Lyon 10th, Shana Beckett 11th and Jason Gay 16th. Isha Benefer finished 15th in the novice under-13s.
The club are now preparing for another event, to take place this month in Great Yarmouth.
