MORE than 50 determined golfers competed in a memorable Captain’s Day at Tydd St Giles Golf Club.
Phil Martin dealt with the tricky conditions to top the leader board with 42 points, closely followed by David Truluck, second, Malcolm Perrott, third, and Tom Jolly, fourth.
Ian Gerrard was crowned as the Men’s July Stableford Division One winner with 41 points. Phil Tilney won the division two prize while Mark Boughen triumphed in division three.
Tydd Seniors lost 4-2 away at Ryston Park Golf Club. Evan Kemp and Ken Walker; and David Doubtfire and Mike Brown were the successful pairs.
The July Medal Gold Division winner was Phil Whitehead, with Michael Brown taking the honours in the silver division and Brian Knights securing victory in the bronze.
