Fenland Running Club members hit the soggy streets of London in recent weeks to take part in separate 10km races.

David Hood laced up his running shoes for the Vitality London 10k on Bank Holiday Monday, and Ian King, Jane Greenwood, Tracy Adams and Sally King all posted impressive times in the Kelly Holmes Trust Olympic Park 10k last Sunday.

Finishing outside Buckingham Palace, Hood finished his run in a time of 50 minutes and 36 seconds, coming home in 3,264th overall.

With some tremendous downpours during the Olympic Park 10K, Jane still pulled off the first FV60 position finishing 351st in 53 minutes and 12 seconds.

Ian King (46:48) was 137th, Tracy Adams (54:07) finished in 412th and Sally King secured a new personal best with a time of one hour, 12 minutes and 40 seconds, seeing her finish in 781st.

The following Wednesday, four FRC members posted sub-20 minute times at the Peterborough Grand Prix 5k.

Andrew Plume (17:13) and Martin Jennings (17:18) both bagged personal bests, while Paul Griffin and Rod Sinnott also impressed with times of 18 minutes and 36 seconds and 19 minutes and 32 seconds respectively.
