WISBECH teenager Liam Knight picked up four medals and secured a place in the national swimming championships.

The 14-year-old competed at the East Region Short Course Winter Championship at the UEA, Norwich on Saturday and Sunday.

He won two silver and two bronze medals and obtaining national qualifying times in four events and will be competing at the national championships held in July next year.

He competed in the junior section for swimmers aged 15 and below and set personal best times in all but one of the 11 races he competed in.

Knight, who swims for the City of Peterborough Swimming Club, would like to thank the Wisbech Lions for their support this season.
