The Wisbech Netball League community has waved goodbye to one of its longest standing members.

Jane Bates is moving closer to her family in Yorkshire after over 20 years of being a player, committee member and umpiring tutor in Fenland.

Mel Barkiss, publicity officer for the Wisbech Netball League, said: “She will be sadly missed by everyone at the league. She has helped and supported many players during her time with us and we all wish her will in the future.”

The Wisbech Netball League season gets underway tomorrow (September 21).
