Two local hockey talents experienced success on the county stage last month.

Wisbech Grammar School’s James Kerry and Sam Phillips were in action for Norfolk under 16/17 and both starred as their side beat rivals Linconshire 2-1 on November 26.

Goalkeeper James impressed in the first half as Norfolk went into the break a goal to the good, but could do nothing to prevent Lincolnshire equalising in the second period.

But Sam had the last laugh with a goal just minutes later and Norfolk were able to hold their lead to the final whistle.
