WISBECH racing driver Maurice Hayden received double honours at the 750 Motorclub's annual awards.

At a ceremony held in Hilton, Warwick, on Saturday, Hayden received the Stock Hatch Championship title and the Wisbech Challenge Trophy, for the highest placed Wisbech driver.

The Stock Hatch Championships sees drivers racing hatchbacks with up to 1400 cc multi-valve and up to 1600cc two-valve-per-cylinder.

Terry Roughton, also from Wisbech, received a trophy for coming fourth in this championship.

And two Wisbech youngsters were rewarded for their positions in the under-16s Saxmax Championships.

Aaron Williamson finished third overall and Andrew Tibbs finished third.

The Saxmax Championships is specifically for drivers aged between 14 and 17.

The teenagers compete in identical specification Citroen Saxo VTR cars.
