UP to 250 hours of free cricket coaching will be provided for school children in Fenland this summer.

The coaching will be provided by members of March Town Cricket Club and pupils of Neale-Wade Community College, Westwood, Burrowmoor, Calvary, All Saints and Thomas Eaton will benefit.

It is thanks to the Chance to Shine Campaign which was launched by the Cricket Foundation, a registered charity, in May 2005.

Les Mills, from March Town Cricket Clubs, said: "By playing cricket competitively, children learn about teamwork, respect and responsibility."

The main coach is Steve Seymour, March first team's opening bowler who has just arrived from Victoria, Australia.
