Wisbech Town have had a hugely successful February topped off by manager Brett Whaley being named United Counties League Premier Division Manager of the Month.

The Fenmen have hit form in February, winning three out of their five United Counties League games – including a superb 2-1 victory over league leaders Leicester Nirvana - and drawing the other two.

Wisbech also secured their place in the final of the Cambs Invitation Cup after beating Hardwick FC 3-0 in the last four.

After receiving his award, Brett told www.wisbechtownfc.co.uk: “I’m delighted to have received this award on behalf of the team and it’s nice for us all to get some recognition for our recent form.

“We have seen improvements since the early part of the year and we now need to ensure we keep improving. We all expected this type of form to have come earlier in the season, so it’s important we continue that our progression as we head into the final couple of months of the season.”
