Dick Creasey believes Wisbech Town are under-achieving - despite sealing their finest success this season.

The Fenmen hammered high-flying Eynesbury Rovers 4-1 on Saturday courtesy of first-half strikes from Harry Limb, Luke Wilson, Michael Frew and a late goal from Liam Adams.

Wisbech’s superb win means they are now without defeat in seven matches in all competitions, but boss Creasey believes there is still room for improvement despite his men moving into the top 10.

“I think it was a good performance,” he told the club’s official YouTube channel.

“People are saying it was the best home performance this season and they’re probably right.

“It’s nothing more than I expect. I think we’ve got that in us and I think there have been too many weeks where we don’t produce what we should produce. Today we did and it’s certainly a lot better to watch and a lot better to be involved in when we do perform as we can individually and collectively.

“We had the set-up right. I think we set up to how they play and it worked for us.

“Personally I think our rightful position, with what we’ve got here, should be top four.

“You could say we’re under-achieving because we’re not there so we’ve got to get that right and keep working.”

Wisbech return to action tomorrow evening (29) against another of the UCL Premier Division’s high-flyers – Deeping Rangers – and Creasey is targeting extending his side’s unbeaten run to eight matches.

“I’m pleased with the result but we’ve got to keep it going,” he said.

“It’s seven without defeat which is certainly the longest we’ve gone this season.

“As we’ve said many times it’s a strange league this season. Take Peterborough Sports out of the equation and anybody else seems to beat anybody else.

“Deeping are flying but sometimes you’ve got to look at yourselves and look at how you’re performing and at the minute we’re doing well.”
