WISBECH boss Gary Setchell is expecting to bring in a midfielder and striker this weekend after throwing James McManus out of his squad.
Secthell is unhappy at the way the midfielder, who is the nephew of former Wisbech manager Roy McManus, reacted towards physio Chas Thompson after being substituted after 70 minutes of Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Tiptree.
Setchell said: "I don't expect him to play for Wisbech again. He's a good lad and a top player on his day but we can't have players acting like that and have to have discipline at the club.
"It's not the first time James has reacted badly to being substituted this season.
"He's had a bit of a stop-start season with injuries, suspensions and work commitments and I understand he had been planning to move on for a while. I wish him the best of luck for the future."
Setchell was deep in transfer talks with a midfielder and a striker on Thursday but league rules forbid him from naming the pair.
Wisbech moved into the relegation zone after Saturday's defeat but Setchell insists he is feeling no pressure.
He said: "We've got 13 crucial games until the end of the season and seven are against teams near the bottom of the table and I have confidence in the ability of my squad."
Due to Whitton United dropping out of the league because of financial difficulties, as things stand, only the bottom two go down.
But a saving grace for the Fenmen could be that leaders Lowestoft Town, who are 12 points clear with games in hand, have applied for promotion, and if this is granted only one team could be relegated to the Ridgeons First Division.
