FOUR familiar faces have signed for Wisbech Town Football Club.

Former Fenmen Danny Foulsham, Darren Edey and Scott Cubberley have rejoined the club.

Well known centre-back Steve Thompson, who played for March Town United last season, has joined from Parson Drove.

Wisbech manager Roy McManus is pooling his resources with his squad heavily depleted and club cash-strapped.

Thompson has played in Drove's last four matches, during which the club has not conceded a goal.

Experienced striker Edey was with Wisbech last season but left because of work commitments.

McManus said: "Darren works in London and will not be available every week. But he's told us he will make himself available as much as possible.

"He's a strong and experienced striker and will replace Tom Gosling as a target man when he does play."

Attacking midfielder Cubberley and striker Foulsham left Wisbech at the start of season.

McManus said: "Both expressed a keen interest to rejoin Wisbech and I'm happy to welcome them back.

"These four lads are all talented local players. I'm always looking to sign the most talented players in the area and there has never been a better chance for local talent to play Ridgeons level football than there is now.
