GARY SETCHELL claimed his first win as Wisbech Town manager on Saturday when the Fenmen ended a 10-match winless run by thrashing Wivenhoe.

Stuart Cobb's 71st-minute strike put them on their way - a finish from 10 yards after a defensive mix-up.

Cobb's effort ended a 42-day goal drought for the club, their last goal a Lewis Thompson finish in a 2-1 league defeat at Kirkley and Pakefield, on December 6.

Billy Smith made it 2-0 in the 79th minute with a close-range header from Arran Butcher's corner and Stuart Ablett completed the scoring with a penalty after Cobb was fouled in the box.

The result ensured that former Liverpool and West Ham left-back Julian Dicks endured a miserable start in football management.

Dicks was making his debut as Wivenhoe manager after taking charge of the team earlier this month.
