THESE five pool players are competing in the eight-ball World Championships this week.

Andy Lucas, from Leverington, is representing England A while Scott Chambers, from Outwell, Eric Mohammed, Mark Hughes and Darren McCarthy, all from Wisbech, are playing for England B.

They all face a gruelling schedule of playing two and three matches a day in the week-long tournament, which started on Sunday, but are on track for the semi-finals, which will be played today (Friday).

The championships is being played at Bridlington Leisure Centre and players from the likes of France, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Gibraltar, India, Shetlands, Italy and South Africa are taking part.
