PROLIFIC Conference League striker Neil Kennedy will be hoping to prevent Wisbech claim their third successive win when he arrives at Fenland Park tomorrow.

The 35-year-old is set to line-up in a Histon Reserves side fighting for Ridgeons Premier Division survival.

Kennedy has been a regular Histon first-team player and scored more than 300 goals in 11-and-a- half seasons with the club.

He is known to the Histon fans as 'King Kendo' but has been in the club's reserve side for much of this season after returning from injury.

Kennedy has scored four goals in his last five matches.

He was on target on Saturday when second-bottom Histon Reserves lost 3-2 at home in the league to leaders Soham Town Rangers.

Histon Reserves beat rock-bottom Newmarket Town 5-4 last month.

Wisbech boss Roy McManus said: "They obviously know where the goal is. Soham have the best defensive record in the league and it's an achievement for any side to put two past them. But Histon also concede a lot so we'll look to exploit that.

"Kennedy will certainly be their danger man. He's a vastly experienced striker with a big reputation so we'll have to find a way of cutting out his supply."

Wisbech will be near full strength for the match.

The Fenmen did not play on Saturday and striker Darren Edey has recovered from a calf victory he picked up in their 4-2 win over Newmarket on February 2.

Midfielder Wayne Morton also returns to the squad from suspension but defender Paul Cousins is recovering from a foot injury and midfielder Grant Rider has shin splints.
