Wisbech Town ended their opening day curse with a fine 3-1 victory away at Leiston on Saturday.
Tommy Treacher opened the scoring before two second-half penalties from Andy Furnell sealed an impressive win. It was the side’s first triumph on the opening day since 1998.
They now travel to Dereham Town tomorrow evening before Saturday’s home F.A cup game against St Andrews at the club’s new ground.
