WISBECH Town Football Club have appointed Joe Green as the manager of their reserve team.

Jackie Gallagher will continue is his role as under-18s manager with the assistance of Chaz Thompson.

In a statement published on the club's website, first team boss Steve Taylor writes: "Having known Joe for a few years now I am looking forward to working with him.

"I would also like to thank last season's Reserve managers for their hard work and I wish them the very best for the future.

"All I would ask now is that supporters show their patience and support and get behind everyone now as Rome was not built in a day.

"With the new season only 50 days away now a lot of work needs to be done and after meeting the players on Monday I won't be rushed into making any signings as I am pleased with the squad of local young talent.

"Any signings will have to be right for the team and the club.
