Archant

Four Fenland Running Club members took to the streets of Norwich to take part in the prestigious Lord Mayor’s 5km city centre classic.

Despite the heat and two climbs up Castle Hill, Shane Draper finished comfortably inside the 20 minute requirement in 18.49 putting him 63rd in a field of 114 finishers.

The Fenland team all cleared the first lap ‘cut-off’ and raced on - Paul Griffin completed the course in 19.24 (84th), while Rod Sinnott was close behind in 19.42. Stuart Follen completed the line-up with 20.15 (106th).

Sarah Rippon was 769th out of 805 finishers at the Wales Marathon (5:28.45). Stephen Brunton was the sole Fenland Running Club member at the March AC 5 mile Spud Run and finished 142nd in a field of 155.
