CHATTERIS Under-13s pushed a very strong Wisbech A side all of the way in their latest Cambs Youth League encounter.

Wisbech were reeling on 23-5 at one point, following excellent opening bowling from Harry Matthews and Damon Beckett, who finished with 3-17 and 2-18 respectively.

But the strong batting line-up led Wisbech to 143-8 off their 20 overs.

Ben Perry was the outstanding batsman for Chatteris with 39, including six fours and one six, and he was backed up with a solid 13 by Asa Revell.

But, despite a late flourish from Harry Matthews who finished with 10, Chatteris fell 17 runs short of their target.
