FUTURE cricket stars will again get the chance to show off their skills at Wisbech’s sixth annual Junior Community Cricket Week.

Exciting plans have been unveiled for this year’s five-day event including a three-day cricket academy, indoor tournaments and a series of games.

The Mendis Dads vs Lads Challenge Cup, a Hare and Hounds Under-15 cup match and a Mums vs Lads match are all set to delight crowds.

Wisbech and March’s first teams may also clash at the Harecroft Road event, although the additional Fenland derby is yet to be confirmed.

More than 100 junior members of Wisbech Cricket Club are set to attend but the event is open to all children aged 7-16 and their families.

The community cricket week will start on August 15 and will finish with a presentation, barbecue and disco on August 19.
