EDGAR DAVIES won Fenland Gun Club's 50 bird sporting, Tricky Dicky Trophy on a shoot off after four guns tied with a below average 32 out of 50 in difficult conditions.

In torrential rain, Davies, from Doddington, was level with Guyhirn's Dave Beaumont, Soham's Graham Harrison and Jon Deighton from Chatteris before holding his nerve to take victory.

The Skeet Practice was taken by, Walpole Highways' Dave Wallace, with 23 out of 25.

The DTL Practice was some what of a family affair with Trevor Scott of Chatteris, his nine-year-old grandson, Sam, and son Craig, of Manea, taking the honours in that order.

The club's next shoot will be held at Washbrooke Farm, Doddington on June 8, starting at 10.30am and is open to all.
