Wisbech Tennis Club’s dad and daughter duo – David and Libby Hoyles – competed in the big Quorn Family Cup Finals Day.

Libby and David, who won the club heat of the event last month, joined around 25 successful pairings from around the country at Nottingham Tennis Centre recently.

They played some excellent tennis to finish third in their group, just missing out on a place in the quarter-finals. They will have two more opportunities to be successful in the tournament, which requires a child under the age of 10 to play alongside a member of their family - Libby is currently eight.

She received plenty of souvenirs from the finals, including a goody bag which came complete with sunglasses, baseball cap, juice bottle and giant tennis ball.

And, to add to the experience, she was able to collect autographs from world-ranked players, who were at the same Nottingham venue preparing for the Aegon Open.
