Flower, who Burwell use for the occasional tough game, helped his side to 248-7.

Chris Clark was the pick of the Wisbech bowlers with 4-54.

Wisbech got of to a decent start with Ben Allsop (52) and Damien Coad (32) putting on 84 for the first wicket but as wickets regularly tumbled Wisbech had to battle for the draw with Craig Johnson having to face one ball to see Wisbech hold on with them finishing on 197-9.

Leverington made it two wins out of two in West Norfolk Division One with a 35-run victory against Castle Acre who they were playing for the first time in many years.

Leverington made a slow start but kept wickets in hand.

Simon Gilbert and Andy Reid put on 36 for the first wicket before Ricky Brown started to attack the bowlers and make 25.

Leverington then lost quick wickets as they pushed for runs with Adam Garford keeping the batting together with a well-made 19.

Leverington set Castle Acre 125 to win.

Ian Cooper (3-24) and Aaron Cobb (2-15) picking up wickets at regular intervals and Mark Godfrey (2-18) and Damien Allen (3-30) carried on the good work as Castle Acre were all out for 89.

Tidy bowling from Tom Bourne (2-36) and Lyndon Waters ensured another good week for Wisbech seconds.

They beat Eaton Socon seconds by five wickets in the Hunts Division Two.

The visitors were restricted to 189-6 and Wisbech reached the target with minimum fuss.

Carl Pope top scored with 64 and Matthew Parrin and Grant Clark hit 35 apiece before captain Charlie Baxter saw Wisbech home with 26 not out as they finished on 190-5.

Centuries from Gavin Plume (107) and Keith Jakings (105) helped Wisbech thirds continue their early-season run-fest as they amassed a mighty 368-4 to obliterate Snettisham seconds in the West Norfolk Division Three.

Plume and Jakings put on 188 for the first wicket then Matthew Esser continued with 86 and Richard Harnwell added 28.

Snettisham shut up shop from the outset and crawled along to 139-6 by the end of their innings.

Martin Parrin (3-13), Dave Lemoir (3-30) and Danny Haynes (2-22) did the damage on a bowler-friendly track as Wisbech fourths beat Dereham thirds away by seven wickets in the West Norfolk Division Four.

Dereham were all out for 115 and Wisbech were struggling a little at 47-3 before James Sheppard (30 not out) and Danny Emmington (31 not out) saw Wisbech home safely.
