Course record smashed as Gedney Hill Golf Club host Pro-Am tournament

THE course record was smashed as 25 professionals arrived in fine form for Gedney Hill Golf Club’s Pro-Am tournament.

The winning team - made up of Liam Gavaghan, Andy Davies, Neil Parker and Chris Davies - shot a staggering net 50; 20 under par.

But the most impressive performance came from Simon Lilly, from Wellingborough Golf Club, who broke the course record with a round of net 64; six under par. Matt Morris, from Walmley Golf Club, was second, with Moor Hall Golf Club’s John Banbury third.

Winners of the nearest the pin competitions were: Jon Banbury (Pro)/Richard Senior; James Bennett (Pro)/Len Kempster; Steve Bennett (Pro)/Richard Senior and Jasen Barker (Pro)/Eddie Lager.
