Wisbech Ladies II 2 Cambridge University III 0
A PLAYER of the match performance by stand-in goalkeeper Steph Hanlon inspired Wisbech to victory.
Hanlon had never played in goal before Saturday, but stepped in at half-time and pulled off some fine saves in the second half to keep Cambridge at bay.
Just two weeks earlier Wisbech lost to Cambridge, but started Saturday's game on the front foot and took the lead through Georgie Dunn.
Wisbech were on the back foot for most of the second half, with strong defending from Ali Mason, Katie Dun, Liz Manning and Kay Doyle also helping keep Cambridge at bay.
