WISBECH Town manager Roy McManus is becoming increasingly frustrated with the club's board as his future remains in the balance.

More than two weeks after the Fenmen's last game of the season, McManus is still waiting for answers.

He wants to know if he will have a reserve side next year and what budget will be available for signings and players' wages.

McManus said: "I don't want to mess the supporters or the players around but I can't commit until I know what I would have to work with and I can't think of any manager who would.

"Our first league game would be on August 9, so I would look to start pre-season training in July.

"All of this delay is not good for the club and it's really not good enough."

McManus has spoken to three potential signings but has not put in any official approaches.

He said: "Other Ridgeons League managers will be out there boosting their squads and I have to do what I can to make sure Wisbech doesn't miss out.

"It's difficult to tempt players to the club and ensure the ones already here stay on because I can't tell players what sort of wage I can offer them."

McManus's performance as Wisbech manager last season will have caught the eye of several chairmen but he revealed he is not looking elsewhere.
