A CONFIDENT round of 69 was enough to see Andy Betts triumph in the Tydd St Giles Golf Club Autumn Open.
Betts, who plays off a handicap of six, secured the title after being the only golfer in the field of 90 to break par.
It was Betts’ second significant recent win, after he bagged the club’s Scratch Matchplay Championship two weeks ago.
Playing in the final group of the open, he secured the victory by finishing one stroke ahead of runner-up Leslie Garrod.
Tydd member John Tilley, who plays off 8, also enjoyed a successful day, taking first place in Division One.
