TYDD St Giles golfer Andy Betts has capped off a stunning season by being named as the club’s player of the year at their annual presentation evening.
All of the competition winners for 2010 were awarded their trophies during the presentation, which ran alongside the club’s annual meeting.
But it was Betts who stole the show, netting The Ken Doughty player of the year trophy for his consistently strong performances.
Betts’ prize followed a season which saw him win the club’s Autumn Open as well as the Scratch Matchplay Championship - where he carded a personal best round of golf.
