FORMER Linnet Chris Bacon scored his first goal for the Fenmen as Wisbech Town recorded their third pre-season victory with a 2-0 win over Blackstones last night.
Bacon - who signed for Steve Appleby’s side after impressing against Boston United Reserves on Tuesday - capitalised on good work from strike partner Liam Nimmo to grab the Fenmen’s second.
Sam Murphy’s looping header had put Wisbech ahead as the Fenmen put themselves two up before half time.
Former Stevenage goalkeeper Ryan Rayner - on trial with Wisbech - played the full 90 minutes and kept an impressive clean sheet.
Wisbech conclude their pre-season preparations with a trip to Spalding United on Saturday.
