It was a weekend of mixed fortunes for runners of Fenland Running Club.
Two members were in action at different ends of the country over the bank holiday weekend, with Tom Richards tackling the Edinburgh Festival Marathon and Sarah Rippon racing in the Kent Circuit Marathon.
Tom managed to shave an impressive nine minutes off his previous personal best time to finish in 644th out of over 6,100 runners with a time of three hours, 31 minutes and 13 seconds.
But Sarah struggled in the heat, rain and lightning, finishing 21 laps of the Cycledrome in five hours, 37 minutes and 17 seconds.
That time earned her a 225th place finish out of 259 runners.
