Graham Millham smashed his personal best as a group of Fenland Running Club members tackled the Greater Manchester Marathon last Sunday.
Millham completed the course in a time of 3:17.03 which lowered his previous best for the distance by more than five minutes.
Sean Connolly was the first FRC runner home in 582nd place. The race attracted more than 18,000 competitors.
Several other FRC members were in action in Bedfordshire at the Oakley 20-mile race.
Andrew Plume was the pick of the bunch as he took 12th position overall and second spot in his age bracket.
Sarah Gauvin and Maire Irlam just missed out on age-group medals when finishing fourth in their respective sections.
