Fenland Running Club members were busy last weekend, taking on races across three separate counties.

Local runners travelled to challenges in Oxfordshire, Lincolnshire and closer to home in Cambridgeshire, posting top times along the way.

First up for the Wisbech-based club were Sharon Bird and Sarah Rippon who tackled three challenges in one at the Bloodwise Blenheim Palace Sprint Triathlon in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.

The race involved a 750m swim, 19.8km cycle and a 5.4km run and against a field of almost 5,000 competitors, the duo finished in 3,851st and 4,081st respectively with times of 1:57:52 and 2:03:05.

In Cambridgeshire, Andrew Pittock competed in the multi-terrain Flaming June Half Marathon, finishing 106th out of 503 runners in 1:44:10.

And in Lincolnshire, Ian and Sally King finished the Woodhall Spa 10km in 51:21 and 1:17:18 respectively to claim 358th and 954th out of a field of over 1,000 finishers.
