There were top-40 finishes for two Fenland Running Club athletes at the fourth instalment of the Frostbite Friendly race last weekend.

Andrew Plume and Lewis Saunders defied a last-minute venue change – and slippery conditions – to finish the five-mile course in 32nd and 40th respectively, with impressive times of 32 minutes and 27 seconds and 32 minutes and 57 seconds.

FRC, who are now 13th in the league standings, return to Frostbite action at Bourne Woods on February 5.
