Wisbech Town Cricket and Hockey Club has opened a brand-new pavilion after years of planning and fundraising.
More than 300 members and supporters gathered for the ceremony on September 7, with long-serving club member Jane Peggs given the honour of cutting the ribbon.
Harriet Esser, of the hockey club, said: "I'm incredibly excited to see the next generation of Wisbech Town Cricket and Hockey Club come to life.
"This new Pavilion is about so much more than just a building; it represents an exciting new chapter for our Club, our sports and our community."
The new facility features a modern bar and catering facility, improved changing facilities and greater accessibility.
It follows the refurbishment of the club’s hockey pitch in 2023.
Chris Clark, of the cricket club, said: "I am absolutely thrilled with the new Pavilion, which is the result of the hard work of a wonderful community of people.
"We have created a legacy that will be enjoyed for many years to come."
The club continues to raise funds to complete the project to the highest standard.
