Members of Wisbech Swimming Club produce a weekend of personal-best times at the East Regional championships.

The club had five swimmers competing at this year's championships which were held over two weekends in May.

The first weekend was held at the Sportspark in Norwich and Madison Hicks completed in the 200m individual medley in which she swam a personal best time and a very respectable 18th place overall finish.

A week later they were back at Norwich, the weekend started with the 200m butterfly, which saw Holly Smith have an excellent swim.

She was swimming this event for the first time on a long course and it was also her first regional championship.

Madison Hicks swimming this event for the third year in succession at regional level, won her heat in a personal best time and progressed into the final later in the day. In the final, she produced another personal best time to finish in sixth place.

On the Sunday, Wisbech had three first timers to the regional championships, Race Elmer swam in the 200m butterfly; Poppy Ryan continued the personal best long course time in the 200m breaststroke in her first regional championship; Lilly Wright swam a new personal best time in the 50m butterfly, narrowly missing out on the final by 0.04 of a second and finished in ninth placed overall.
