THE league leaders ended Wisbech's 11-game unbeaten run in clinical fashion.
Wisbech, missing six first team regulars including goalkeeper Alex Street, handed a debut to Ally McAnally, who has been King's Lynn first team's back-up keeper this season.
Striker Robbie Harris, who re-signed for Wisbech last week from Dereham, came on as a substitute.
Wisbech player-manager Gary Setchell said: "If it hadn't been for Ally and our two centre-backs Paul Cousins and Anthony Reeve we would have lost by a lot more.
"Needham are a top side and I believe they will win the league. It was always going to be a struggle with so many players missing. We didn't have the quality to keep hold of the ball or the sharpness to win it back and they had far too much class for us.
"We drew 0-0 with them a few weeks ago and it shows we can compete with the top sides when we have a full side."
Needham Market lead when Cousins turned a cross past his own goalkeeper and Damian Hilton doubled the advantage after a run through the centre, despite appearing to be off-side.
A defensive lapse gifted a home striker a free header to make it 3-0, early in the second half, and they scored twice more as Wisbech were stretched when chasing the game.
Setchell said: "I'm happy with our new signings. Ally didn't come here to sit on the bench and he will push Alex Street all the way and a fit Robbie Harris could easily score 25 goals a season for us. We have a really strong squad now and a lot of competition for places. We are in a far better position than we were this time last year when we were scrapping around the relegation zone.
