WISBECH born paralympic cycling champion Jody Cundy has won five medals at the National Championships in Manchester, smashing a world and British record in the process.
The five day event saw Cundy bag two silver medals and three bronze - one of which was his first senior able bodied national medal, which he won in the team sprint with Andrew Kelly and Dave Readle.
Cundy, originally from Wisbech, broke a world record (C4) in the shortest race on the schedule - “the flying 200” - recording a time of 10.97 seconds.
Despite feeling ill, Cundy also smashed a British record in the 4km pursuit, with a time of 5:03.826.
Cundy will soon set off for Germany for the Europa Cup, a two day Paracycling meet, which will see him compete against some of the best paracyclists in the world.
