A GOLFER who had heart surgery just two years ago has helped her club raise more than 2,000 towards the fight against heart problems in her year as ladies’ captain.

Fid Cropper of Sutton Bridge Golf Club’s chosen charities benefited from raffles, bring and take events, a sponsored walk and cook book sales amongst other events that the club’s ladies held.

The full amount raised of 2,314 was split equally between the British Heart Foundation (Lincolnshire branch) and the Papworth Hospital to help with cardiac rehabilitation.

Cropper’s role as captain finishes at the end of the month and she will be replaced by Mrs Beryl Stockton.
