Ridgeons Premier Division: Woodbridge Town 1 Wisbech Town 4
IN-FORM Wisbech Town made it seven consecutive victories in all competitions with a 4-1 win at Woodbridge Town in the Ridgeons Premier Division today.
Steve Appleby’s high-flying Fenmen continued their sensational form since their 9-0 drubbing at Mildenhall Town in September to make it 10 games without defeat.
Wisbech went in 1-0 ahead at the break through striker Chris Bacon before stretching their advantage in the second half thanks to goals from Liam Nimmo and Callum Reed.
And despite the hosts pulling back a goal, Nimmo grabbed his second, and Wisbech’s fourth, in injury time after a mistake from the Woodbridge ‘keeper.
Appleby’s Wisbech travel to Haverhill Rovers in the league on Tuesday before facing the long trek to Racing Club Warwick in the FA Vase Second Round next Saturday.
• Goals provided by Spenny Larham, the Fenmen’s website and programme editor.
