Fenland BCKA kickboxing club members had two reasons to celebrate after their fighters triumphed in the WKKC Championships and the first of the club’s Tri-series events.
A selected number of fighters from Fenland BCKA travelled to Bradford for the WKKC National Championships, where some of the brightest prospects in kickboxing showcased their skills in fighting, kata and weapons bouts.
Fenland’s members competed in the fighting-only side of the competition, and took six gold medals, including three from Eddy Paddock.
In the club’s second event of the weekend, fighters took a trip to Lincoln for the Tri-Series event, and were a class above their county rivals, taking 15 golds in the process and valuable league points.
The Tri-series is a new event in the sport, comprising of three tournaments to be held across Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire each year.
