The club held a special charity sports day on Saturday (29) to raise money for the trust created in the memory of the former Oakham RFC star known as ‘Tu,’ who died during a game in September last year - and to celebrate the club’s 70th anniversary.
Proceedings began with a game of touch rugby, followed by a football match between Wisbech Wildcats and Wisbech Town legend Jackie Gallagher’s Wisbech Town All Stars, which finished 2-2.
Ethan Garfoot and Jamie Parson netted for the Wildcats, while Brenden Bird and Paul Schafer scored for the All Stars.

A Wisbech President’s XV then took to the rugby pitch against a Cambridgeshire County Select XV, featuring players such as former Wisbech men Steve Drawbridge, Jethro Rawling and Andy Hoyles.
That game finished 42-8 in favour of the hosts, with Andy Hoyles taking the Wisbech Roundtable man-of-the-match title and Jim Story being named Stormport man-of-the-match.
The day was brought to a close by a performance from former Wisbech captain, Simon Rodgers.

Wisbech head coach, said: “Asteja and Samata Urbonavica, who organised the event, worked their socks off putting in the hours over three consecutive Saturdays, both at the club and in town.
“We are so grateful and proud of them.”
