Three Fenland BCKA Kickboxing Club fighters are back in Cambridgeshire after starring on the international stage.

Leon Gold, Eddy Paddoc and Sam Spencer travelled to Portugal for the seventh WKC World Championships and returned with a whopping eight medals between them.

Gold was crowned world champion in the -75kg points and -80kg light contract categories, Spencer claimed top spot in the 16-18 years old junior boys +65kg points and 16-18 years old junior boys +65kg light contact categories and Paddock took gold in two different categories across two weight classes.

Coach, Andy Whitwell, said: “These fighters are putting Fenland martial arts on the map.

“These students are on top of their game and by far the best fighters in their categories in this area. The loyalty and dedication shown by these members make them a pleasure to teach and work with and this is a great springboard for the largest of all martial arts tournaments, the Irish open early next year.”
