The Wisbech Rugby Club held their annual awards evening last Friday (May 11) for the adult and junior players, welcoming club officials, parents and guests.
Olly Mackett, club captain, hosted the ceremony with Solomon Prestidge, 1st XV Captain, handing out the awards.
The evening was conclude with the under 16’s donating £100 to the Wisbech Food Bank which was accepted by Keith Aplin, former player and one of the food bank organisers.
Mr Mackett said: “It was a fantastic evening where the juniors and seniors came together to celebrate the season.”
The awards were as followed:
Clubman of the Year: Chris Hare, who also scooped a Mitsubishi volunteer recognition award.
Chairman’s Cup: Nathan Goodale, for his coaching assistance with the under 15s squad.
Young Players-of-the-Year: Henry Lankfer

First XV Player-of-the-Year: Nathan Goodale

A club spokesman said: “The Annual Wisbech Rugby Club annual meeting will take place on the June 4 at 7pm at the Rugby Club.
“Touch rugby for the whole club will every Friday evening 7pm from 25 May and senior pre-season starts July 19 2018.”
