Your Wisbech Standard out and about at Asda- first of many ‘meet and greet’ events we have planned for this year

SHOPPERS at Asda today in Wisbech got the chance to meet some of the faces behind the Wisbech Standard.

Newspaper representatives went into the store armed with copies of this week’s paper to meet and greet readers.

Of course not all the people we met are current readers but, as in the case of young Ava Brown, enjoying being pushed down an aisle by her grand father James Warby, it was a case of introducing her to the paper at an early age.

Plenty of smiles all around with the Wisbech Standard team of Sindie Wesley and Michelle Parker who answered questions and explained to shoppers how the paper is facing the challenges of the 21st century.

The Wisbech Standard road show is one of many ‘meet and greet’ events happening this year.

Next month, March 5, the Wisbech Standard is sponsoring Wisbech Town FC’s home game and we will be offering youngsters the chance to win the match ball, signed by the home team.

Watch for more details of that event on our website in coming days as we Wisbech Town prepare for their important match that day against Walsham le Willows. Kick off is 3pm.
