IS the Oasis Community Centre a place you want to visit? Is it holding the kind of events you are interested in?

You will have a chance to air your views next Wednesday, June 27 (10am-2pm) when the centre is holding a free coffee/tea session to find out what local people would like to see there.

"We want to put on activities that the community want and we cannot do that without their contribution," said a centre spokesman.

A craft fair will be held on July 8 (10am-2pm). From then on that event will be held monthly.

The centre will also host a jobs fair on July 19 (2-7pm), be opened by John Elworthy, news editor of the Wisbech Standard. This is a partnership event involving Jobcentre Plus, Investing in Communities, Sencia/Learn Direct, Seetec, Fenland Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Fenland and Wisbech Community Development Trust (Oasis Centre). Local businesses have been invited to attend and will be on hand to offer information on job vacancies, skill training and other job-related advice.
