A BOOK designed by young artists about the site where the £1million Waterlees playground in Wisbech was built has been officially launched.
Youngsters have spent the last six months researching the area, known as the Spinney, to help them design and create the book which was commissioned by Cambridgeshire County Council and Atelier East.
Madeleine Rumbelow, 18, an intern at Atelier East, said: “It’s been a great experience and I’m really pleased with the final result.
“I think it looks really professional and it also helps towards my portfolio which I’m building for my application to a fine art degree course.”
Around 70 people attended the launch at Octavia View in South Brink, Wisbech.
Brandon Mattless, lead young artist on the project, said: “I have really enjoyed this project and I hope everyone gets something out of it because we really enjoyed making it.”
