About 50 square metres of wood and pallets were found well alight close to a bungalow in Wisbech on Monday (27) evening.

Two crews from Wisbech and Dogsthorpe were called to the fire in the open in Lords Lane.

Firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and returned to their stations by 8.27pm.

“The cause of the fire was accidental,” said a spokesman for Cambs Fire.
