VICTORIA Magee thought she was doing a couple of people a favour by getting them into drugs, a court heard.

But unknown to her, the two people she befriended were undercover police officers, part of a large operation set up to target the supply of class A drugs in the Wisbech area.

Appearing before Fenland magistrates on Wednesday, Magee, 20, of Leverington Common, admitted supplying heroin to police officer "Ian Wells" on April 3 and 4.

Two officers, "Ian and Sarah Wells", had been allocated to the investigation of Magee during the operation, said prosecutor Andrew Williams.

On April 3, she offered to sell them drugs, and took them to an address in York Terrace, Wisbech. She was handed £20, walked off, and returned with two packets of heroin.

Magee said she could get more heroin and would later introduce them to her dealer.

The following day the two officers met Magee again. She took them to York Terrace and supplied two more bags of heroin.

When arrested, Magee said she had a £30 to £40 amphetamine habit, and felt she was doing the officers a favour by getting them into drugs.

Solicitor Angela Holland said Magee had no previous convictions, and the drugs were of low value.

Magistrates committed Magee for sentence at Cambridge Crown Court.
